‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: Brett Dalton differentiates Hive from Ward

It was recently confirmed that when Brett Dalton returns to Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” for more of the story moving forward, he will be doing so in the role of someone who really does not have that much in common at all with Grant Ward. Hive and Ward may share the same body, but they act differently, think differently, and stand out in a wide array of ways.

In teeing up the remainder of the story, and the potential dynamic between him and Gideon Malick, Dalton had the following to say to TVLine:

“What do we do now what we’ve brought this creature back? What are his real intentions? And are they in line with Malick’s? These are the exact questions that Malick has in his head, and these are questions that we are going to answer … The audience is getting to know the character just as Malick is, and just as I am in playing him. It’s a whole new chapter for Ward.”

We certainly imagine that we are going to be seeing quite a bit of Hive throughout the upcoming episodes. Given that the character is a well-known adversary in the comics of the Secret Warriors, it certainly does make a great deal of sense that on the show we would also get quite an opportunity to get to know him. There will more than likely be some other villains scattered here and there, but he is for now the one that you should really watch for and be a little bit nervous about.
