TV Quick Hits: ‘iZombie’ scores Rob Thomas; ‘Agents of SHIELD’ actor lands pilot; ‘The Middle’ renewed
“iZombie” and “Veronica Mars” showrunner Rob Thomas has had a heck of a lot of fun over the years with the fact that he shares a name with the Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 fame, and now that two are figuring out a way to come together a little later this season.
As first reported by TVInsider, Thomas will lend his voice to a Super Max jingle during the upcoming 17th episode of the season; meanwhile, he will officially turn up for the upcoming season 2 finale. Maybe this gig will provide a slight ratings bump to a show that, while entertaining, has not secured a renewal just yet. We feel optimistic that it will happen, but isn’t it nice to get a little more publicity for the show?
