‘The Bachelorette’: Caila Quinn, joJo Fletcher, Jubilee Sharpe current contenders from Ben Higgins’ season
Who will be the next star of “The Bachelorette”? This is something that we’re sure some viewers of “The Bachelor” have been wondering for some time … and it is something that will be sorted out at some point in the near future. By the time of the finale on March 14, the show will need to have made a decision. To be honest, they probably need to make one at least a week before that to start shooting so B-roll footage or something. Maybe they already have.
For the time being, these are the women we feel are contenders for the lead role. Remember that ABC bosses did hint at a “diverse” lead during the TCA Winter Press Tour recently, but there is no guarantee that they’ll stick to that.
Caila Quinn – Personally, it feels almost as though she is an obvious frontrunner. Much of the show has been edited in a way to suggest that she is the person who gets the role, and she has the enthusiasm and the energy to handle being at the center of it.
JoJo Fletcher – She’d be an interesting choice, since she does narrate well and isn’t someone who admits to having feelings rather easily. It’d also be interesting to explore some more of her Persian background, given that this is something that the show hasn’t really done before.
Jubilee Sharpe – Probably a serious underdog here since usually the lead makes the top 4 of their season. However, that’s not always the case (see Juan Pablo Galavis or Jake Pavelka). She’d probably need a huge fan campaign to get the gig.
Lauren Bushnell – She doesn’t really meet the “diverse” criteria we mentioned, but hey, anything’s still possible.
Amanda Stanton – Our biggest fear here is simply that she’s too nice.
