At some point on “Arrow” this season, we assume that the elephant in the room is finally going to be spoken of. By that, we mean mostly that we anticipate Oliver realizing that he cannot keep his son William a secret from his bride-to-be forever. It’s a secret that has to come out, and the question here is whether or not it comes out in a way that proves to be devastating to his relationship. If it feels like his lie has been deliberate or he doesn’t willingly tell her, we imagine that there is going to be trouble. Given that we know where they are in the flash-forwards, we have to imagine that it doesn’t go great no matter when she is told.
“Code of Silence” is the title of the next new episode of the show, and the synopsis below gives you some other news in terms of what to expect:
“Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team uncover HIVE’s plan to take out Team Arrow once and for all. With HIVE’s next attack imminent, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) wonders if Donna (guest star Charlotte Ross) is safer without him in her life. Meanwhile, with the wedding fast approaching, Oliver begins to feel guilty that he hasn’t told Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) about his son.”
The one thing we do know is this: It’s going to take a lot for this episode to top what we saw tonight with Oliver and Malcolm Merlyn.
