‘The Good Wife’ season 7 will be the final season, CBS confirms during Super Bowl 50

The Good WifeCBS chose to make a huge announcement during Super Bowl 50 on the future of “The Good Wife,” even if this is one that we did not necessarily see as a huge shocker: This is the final season of the show. It was already announced that Robert and Michelle King would be departing the series at the very end of this season, so clearly the network realized that it would be a bad move to continue without them on board.

So what can you expect over the course of the next nine or so episodes? Think surprises, twists, turns, and plenty of drama. This is a show that still does have a reasonable amount of story to tell, and we’re excited to see what is coming.

At the moment, some of the biggest stories that the show has to tell are Alicia Florrick’s arrival to Lockhart, Agos, & Lee, and what sort of surprises await her there. We imagine that there will be conflicts aplenty, but hopefully also some good, quality cases.

Also, what will happen between Alicia and Jason Crouse? These two have grown close over the course of the season, and she could be the one person to give her some sort of a romantic endgame away from Peter. After all, do you really think that’s the way CBS and the Kings want this show to end? We need something happier than this.

We’ll have some further news all about the end of “The Good Wife” soon; stay tuned as they come out!
