‘The Blacklist’ season 3, episode 14 preview: ‘Lady Ambrosia’ and Tom and Liz’s latest struggle
“The Blacklist” has tied up the story of Liz Keen’s arrest, and with that, the show still seems like it is in a little bit of a transition period to figure out where it wants to go next. In many ways, we certainly understand: You can’t just go from zero to sixty in just one episode.
Next week, we’re going to see in “Lady Ambrosia” a story that will progress things with Tom and Liz, and the former starts to realize more that he cannot just run away from his past now by forming some new plans with Liz. There are some more struggles that he is going to face. The synopsis below serves as a great way to get some further insight into what to expect:
“After a missing child that has been presumed dead turns up alive, Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) work with the taskforce to search for a dangerous woman who may be kidnapping children. Meanwhile, Tom (Ryan Eggold) faces shocking consequences after his plan to help Liz goes awry.”
The biggest thing that we ultimately are hoping to see at the moment through this, beyond just what is going on with Liz and Tom, is a pretty good Blacklister-of-the-week episode. We do think that this one has great potential, given that we’re dealing with what the promo likes to refer to as a weird Hansel & Gretel sort of story with a woman kidnapping kids and then making them false promises. It’s demented, and the show is always better when it ventures into that territory.
