‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Can JoJo Fletcher, Lauren Bushnell overtake Olivia Caridi in Ben Higgins’ mind?

Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelor” was certainly dramatic, but not always a cause for celebration. After all, we lost our favorite contestant this season in Jubilee Sharpe, and we also saw a pretty tense series of events play out in which Olivia Caridi compared Amanda Stanton’s life to an episode of “Teen Mom.”

Next week, are things going to be changing, and are we going to get an opportunity to see favorites rise to the occasion? After the confrontations tonight, Olivia may be vulnerable to being sent home, and instead this could be a great opportunity for some other people to rise to the occasion. JoJo Fletcher is in particular someone who stepped it up tonight and was very comforting to Ben. Not only that, but we clearly know that things between him and Lauren Bushnell are particularly hot-and-heavy at the moment. The chemistry between them is off the charts, and she has to be an instant favorite as a result of that!

More than anything, this is the time that the real connections start to become clear as opposed to the people that Ben merely likes. Hometown dates are coming up, and the last thing Ben should want to do is go to this phase of the competition with some people who he isn’t as confident in. We assume that there is still some fun left in the season, but we hope that in the event that Olivia does go home soon, there’s some other source of drama. The rest of the season has ultimately been fairly predictable.
