‘Shark Tank’ video: Is CO.Alition about to be ripped apart by the Sharks?

Shark Tank -We admire anyone for going into the “Shark Tank,” mostly because it can be one of the most intimidating places to be out there if your product isn’t well-received by the Sharks. They can rip you to shreds faster than you can even complete a sentence.

Is this happening to CO.Alition on Friday night’s new episode? The sneak peek below certainly suggests so, when the comment is made that there may not be anything that is particularly special about their backpack with some smart capabilities that include portable data storage and also a way to recharge some of your devices. There is no patent on the bags, and there may already be similar ideas that are already out there that are better in the Sharks’ minds … including one that utilizes solar power.

These comments are clearly a problem, but there’s still time to win the Sharks back over! We do think that these backpacks have a cool, sleek look to them, and the two guys at the center of the pitch have some history in the backpack industry. They didn’t just stumble in here in hopes of trying to make a quick deal on a product that they know nothing about.

The biggest concern that we ultimately have here is price. These bags run over $150 without even including the wireless hard drive or the battery pack that make them special, and that’s a pretty hefty price compared to many other backpacks that are out there on the market. You’ve got to really love your backpack to want to spend that sort of cash on it at the end of the day.
