‘Chicago Fire’ season 4, episode 13 preview: ‘The Sky is Falling’ and defining moments

Chicago Fire -Networks tend to know that in order to continue to sound believable, they have to pick and choose their occasions in which to use such words as “defining moments.” If they start to promote every episode, for example, as the most dramatic ever, they basically become ABC with “The Bachelor.” Nobody wants to have it become hyperbole, since you run the risk that nobody believes you anymore.

NBC obviously has a lot of faith in next week’s new episode of “Chicago Fire,” given that they are at the moment promoting it like it may be one of the biggest installments that has ever aired of the show. We don’t want to tell you that lives are in danger, but the situation itself may be one of the biggest crises that the Firehouse has faced to date. The synopsis below teases more, and the promo featuring all the hype can be seen below:

“The firehouse is on high alert when mysterious threats begin to emerge throughout Chicago. The situation turns dire when news of a mass shooting brings members of squad and truck into the middle of a dangerous and harrowing scene. Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) works diligently to investigate the missing money from the fundraiser for the victims of the recent tornado. Meanwhile, Jimmy (Steven R. McQueen) agrees to represent the firehouse in the first annual ‘Battle of the Badges’ boxing match against the 21st district police department and Chili’s (Dora Madison) erratic behavior continues to be a major issue for her ambulance partner, Brett (Kara Killmer).”
