‘Quantico’ spoilers: Priyanka Chopra previews trials ahead for Alex, Ryan

Ryan Booth and Alex Parrish certainly make for an intriguing couple, but unfortunately being intriguing is not enough to make a relationship last. As a matter of fact, we’re not even sure that you can call the “Quantico” pair a couple at all. Do they have “it’s complicated” listed as their Facebook relationship status? They certainly should, given that at the moment we have no real idea how else you are supposed to describe this. The two parties were split up during one of the timelines in the winter finale thanks to Hannah and Ryan going on a mission, while Alex ended up going off with Liam (though what happened next still remains a mystery).

Does Alex really have to be worried about Eliza Coupe’s character coming in and causing trouble between her and Ryan? Maybe there is a part of her who interprets this to be the case, but that does not necessarily mean that it is. With that in mind, just take a look at what star Priyanka Chopra had to say on the subject as a part of a brand-new interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“The problem actually is not even Hannah, it’s what happens with Ryan and Alex after everything they’ve been through … How do they get through? They love each other, but they can’t be together, because Alex is her own destruction. She’s so dark that anything good for her she runs away from. She’s so afraid of being hurt that she hurts herself [rather] than to have someone else betray her. That’s going to be her [down]fall.”

There’s still a lot of time for these two characters to figure it out; not only that, but there are actually two different timelines for them to move forward in.
