‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 13 preview: What lies ahead in ‘The Bond’
After one of its best midseason premieres in its 11-year history, “Criminal Minds” came back with an episode on Wednesday night in “Drive” that we’d consider to be a little bit of a letdown. It simply just did not do much when it comes to bringing new things to the table, which is something that we do feel like this show needs to do right now to have some stories that really stand out from the mold.
Is that going to change courtesy of “The Bond” next week? It is hard to say, if for no other reason than that once again, CBS is not giving us a whole lot of information to go on moving forward into this hour. All we actually have to look at for the time being is the official synopsis, which is only a single sentence long:
“The BAU searches for a motive and an UnSub when victims are found in truck stop restrooms along highways throughout the South.”
Ultimately, this is the second straight episode of the show to have transit as some sort of a theme, but this may be one of the stranger series of murders that we’ve seen to date. Why in the world would someone want to kill people at truck stops of all places? Bathrooms at these stops are not exactly the sort of place that most people want to go into, let alone kill people in. They are also pretty populated for the most part, so it’s hard to imagine too many scenarios in which there is the opportunity to kill without being noticed.
