‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, ‘The Good Wife’ season 7 delayed tonight thanks to NFL football

For everyone who enjoys “Madam Secretary” and “The Good Wife” on CBS, we come bearing some news: You’re going to have to wait a while longer tonight … or at least an hour.

Thanks to the NFL running things a little bit late tonight, the earliest that you are going to see this particular one-two punch premiere on the network tonight is 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. There will be new episodes, but unfortunately, you are stuck waiting for them a little bit longer than you probably would be otherwise. (Viewers in Canada, however, may not experience the same delays on the local networks.)

As for what you can expect during these two shows, here are some quick teases to help tied you over:

“Madam Secretary” – Elizabeth’s latest diplomatic mission is going to force her all the way out to Asian country Myanmar, where she will try to tackle some matters of great importance … but also some that turn dangerous. Meanwhile, some of Elizabeth’s neighbors could be causing some problems for her at home when they don’t seem too thrilled living next to a major diplomat for the United States.

“The Good Wife” – What is going to happen in the aftermath of Peter’s botched Presidential campaign? That is one thing you are going to figure out here, with the other things being whether or not Alicia can collaborate once more with Lockhart, Agos, and Lee. This is going to be a chance for the show to dive more into familiar territory, which we’re sure that some people out there will probably appreciate after the lengthy political saga.
