For all fans of “The Flash,” great news: Killer Frost is certainly coming. As a matter of fact, you’re going to see the character in action at some point later this winter. The image at the bottom of this article comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, and it features Danielle Panabaker as the Earth-2 Caitlin Snow alongside Robbie Amell as Deathstorm, the evil version of his now-deceased one half of Firestorm.
As for what it is like for Panabaker to play this side of her character, here is what she had to say in a new chat with IGN:
“It’s fun. To me it’s this idea of ‘How far are you willing to go?’ As a villain, whatever your motivation is, clearly you’ve lost your conscience and you’re just out for your ulterior motive, whatever that might be. I’m excited to see what they write and what that ends up looking like.”
Our hope here is that we will eventually see Killer Frost become a prominent part of the universe, given the fan enthusiasm and the fact that she is one of the more notorious female villains within the DC world. We’ve always made it our reference that we see Earth-1 Caitlin become her, mostly because that is far more complex morally than just making a version of her that we’ve never seen before into the villain. In doing this, they could set up a season-long arc for the character where she reconciles both the good and evil parts of her personality.
“The Flash” returns with new episodes on Tuesday night.
