Here’s one of the downsides to living forever, especially if you are a guy like Klaus on “The Originals“: You are constantly going to have to contend with a laundry list of people who seemingly want you dead. This in turn brings us to some of the latest casting news that has been handed down courtesy of The CW.
According to a new report from TVLine, Matt Cedeño of “Devious Maids” has been cast in the important role of Cortez, an influential vampire who is looking for revenge, and may be sharp enough to know precisely the ways in which to get it. In speaking on this character even more to the website, executive producer Michael Narducci has the following to say:
“Cortez is someone who was sired by a unique circumstance … He has a very interesting perspective, particularly on Klaus. He’s of Klaus’ sire line, but he was not sired by Klaus. He’s a very intriguing character, one of the most dangerous folks we’ve met.”
Well, that can’t be good for Klaus, can’t it? We’ve been rather busy as of late trying to get over all of the mess with Aurora (our mind is racing for news on Cami), and now we’re staring potentially at someone else who could be causing Joseph Morgan’s character some major trouble. Admittedly, there is a weird part of us that is wondering already whether or not we could have a case here where Cami comes back as a vampire, and then actually helps Klaus by getting rid of this threat. Wouldn’t this be a fun, expected twist to tackle?
