‘Chicago PD’ season 3 spoilers: More of Lindsay, Halstead is coming in due time

At this given point, we certainly understand if you are interested in getting some more of Lindsay and Halstead on “Chicago PD.” There was a little bit of it at the start of the season, but in between some major stories for other characters and the crossovers, there has been a little bit less of it lately.

Luckily for you, it does appear as though this is going to be changing sooner rather than later. Just take a look at what executive producer Matt Olmstead had to say on this subject to Entertainment Weekly:

“They’re in a good place, especially after the wringer we put Lindsay through at the beginning of the season … She’s now got both feet on the ground. Halstead was there as a friend to get her back there. Now that she is there, the heat starts to cook up a little bit more between the two of them. We’re exploring that in an episode coming up that’s a culmination of that. Now’s their time — not the time to get married or move in — but we want to play the long-awaited romantic episode between these two. That’s on their mind, for sure, so we’re going to turn up the heat on these two characters.”

So there you go: There is some romance coming without nearly as much of the drama! While this hardly means that the two are out of the woods entirely (couples do fight), it gives us a little bit of hope that they are going to be at least stable and together for some time. We’d love to see a “Chicago PD” wedding a few years down the line, so here’s to hoping we are building to that.
