‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Further insight on Reverse-Flash’s return!

FlashIt was first revealed over the past couple of weeks that a familiar face is returning to Central City and “The Flash“; specifically, we’re talking about the Reverse Flash. He is one of the most-feared adversaries out of anyone that Barry Allen has faced, and he will be back for the upcoming January 26 episode, fittingly titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns.”

So how in the world is this possible? It is probably a result of him arriving from some other world or time-travel, given the fact that the Eobard that terrorized the city previously was Harrison Wells in disguise. The synopsis below tells us what is going on, but does not exactly give any real insight into how this is happening:

“When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don’t believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) confirms that the Reverse Flash is back. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) and Francine (guest star Vanessa A. Williams) share a nice moment that brings Iris closer to her brother, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale).”

There is one thing that we do want to make clear after reading this particular synopsis, and it is this: Mercury Labs is probably the worst possible place to work in all of Central City. It’s constantly getting attacked, and unlike STAR Labs it doesn’t ever seem like they’ve got the right sort of people around to help protect it.
