‘Fuller House’: John Stamos explains absence of Olsen twins
“Fuller House” is still more than a month away from premiering, both that isn’t stopping the press from beginning now!
Today John Stamos is making a lot of headlines thanks to his appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” one in which he talks about his DUI arrest, his decision to stop drinking, and also that he at one point had gotten a woman pregnant many years ago before she decided to have an abortion.
What we’re talking about within the framework of this particular article, though, is how Stamos says that he eventually did discuss appearing in the “Full House” revival with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen after there was some initial “confusion” on the subject, but they decided eventually not to do it:
“They seemed very into [the idea of the show]; they just were afraid of acting … They hadn’t acted; they don’t consider themselves actresses.”
It is true that now the Olsens are very big in the world of fashion, and seem firmly content with letting sister Elizabeth by the actor in the family. The thing here is that most people are out there acting like this is a hardline thing. We can easily envision “Fuller House” getting a second season, and with that isn’t it easy to presume that one or both of them would be interested in bringing back Michelle Tanner then? “Girl Meets World” on the Disney Channel is a great example of a series that was able to incorporate more familiar faces from the original “Boy Meets World” once they’d established more of a proof-of-concept.
