ABC’s ‘Castle’ video: Watch Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever break it down in full season 7 scene
For those of you who are really wanting that extra bit of entertainment to close of your New Year’s Day, we believe that we’ve found that for you and then some: A new video released by “Castle” writer-producer Robert Hanning featuring the rehearsal of the complete Ryan / Esposito dance sequence from last season’s “Habeas Corpse.”
If you recall from that episode, these two guys were working on this for a police-themed talent contest, which quickly turned into a bet because Castle thought he could easily defeat them after Ryan faked an injury. When he and Beckett caught the guys practicing this routine, they quickly realized that they had been set up. It was glorious then, and it is even more glorious now. Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas have some moves! Also, we really love the fact that they were so game to have this sort of fun on the show in the home stretch of the season.
Might this be the precursor to some more fun stuff for the two in the new year? We hope so, mostly because they remain such a big part of the show, and because so much of the first half was spent introducing new characters and shaking up the dynamic of the show. Now with Castle and Beckett back together in secret, we’re at least somewhat closer to the show that we got accustomed to over the past few seasons.
While it was customary in the past for “Castle” to return after the premiere of “The Bachelor,” sad news this year: It’s not happening. Instead, you can anticipate the show coming back for more on February 1, as the reality show is getting its own live aftershow for the first four weeks.
