‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 12 video: New ‘Sister City’ preview sets up Abby’s brother

NCIS -NCIS” season 13 has been on hiatus for several weeks now, but when it returns with a new episode on Tuesday night, it will be quite possibly the most intense case we’ve seen in quite some time … especially for the Abby character. It will take two hours to unfold, and the story will transition from the flagship show directly into “NCIS: New Orleans.” Basically, you need to set aside two hours on your schedule, since you’re not going to get answers from watching the first part alone.

The promo below certainly makes it seem as though Abby’s brother Luca may be responsible for a mass poisoning, especially since Tony is going to meet him and then promptly arrest him seconds later. Abby wants to help with the questioning, but we cannot imagine her getting fully signed off for that. This case is personal, and obviously Gibbs has to look out for the truth here. Do we think that Luca’s the guilty party? Probably not, if for no other reason than that this would make for an extremely depressing end to the story, but at the same time it would also add another layer to Abby’s character.

If you have not seen the synopsis for this episode just yet, it tells us how the New Orleans team is going to get involved. Let’s just say that it is a matter of convenience:

“After the passengers and crew of a private plane traveling from New Orleans to Washington D.C. are lethally poisoned, all evidence points to the missing chef, Abby’s brother, Luca (Tyler Ritter). Gibbs and the D.C. team work in conjunction with Pride and the New Orleans team to locate Luca and determine why a private tech company was targeted.”
