‘The X-Files’ season 10: New video gives you (lengthy) look behind the scenes

X Files -The X-Files” will be returning for six episodes starting on January 24, and we certainly understand that anticipation is high. After all, why in the world else would Fox release a 21-minute special online for you to check out? They know that people will watch, and it provides that extra incentive to start preparing for what lies ahead.

You can watch this special in the video below, and while it may be short on major plot spoilers, it does still give you a sense of the sort of excitement that is there from the people working on the show. Creator Chris Carter alongside stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny try to put into words just what the series means to them, and also just what they hope fans get out of the revival. These six episodes are meant to be the best of what the show has to offer. There is a continuous story, but at the same time standalone episodes much like the original show had. There are also plenty of monsters, but also a good bit of humor. It is a magical tour of “X-Files” history crammed into a short period of time.

If you really love the show and want to see more of it beyond just these episodes, the only suggestion we can offer you is to watch live, and convince your friends to do the same. There’s no guarantee of any more beyond this, but if this proves to be a successful revival we can definitely imagine Fox and the team wanting to get back together and make some more episodes at some point down the road.

Enjoy the video, and we’ll be back at some point in the future with more scoop on the show.
