‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will ‘Cowgirl’ Maegan Miller lasso in Ben Higgins?
We know that “The Bachelor” does at times set up some contestants with ridiculous gimmicks that may be really hard to overcome, and we hate it for them since the odds of second-hand TV embarrassment are high. Yet, at the same time it does make our job easier in spotlighting these contestants before the show begins.
Maegan Miller does stand out in two separate ways: She spells her first name in a way that we have never seen before, and her occupation is actually listed as “cowgirl.” It’s not quite up there with “dog lover,” but it at least has to be considered close.
Age – 30
Occupation – Cowgirl … yep. Based on our research we’ve seen that Maegan is actually an accountant, but putting “cowgirl” is a lot more fun.
Location – Weatherford, Texas. It’s a town west of Fort Worth, and a place we’ve actually passed through a few times over the years. Nice town.
Things to know – She loves country life, she has a mini-horse for a pet, and seems to have a good sense of humor about herself. It feels like the show will probably want to depict her as the embodiment of the cowgirl persona for however long she is around.
Strengths – She probably is going to be really entertaining the first night, and we can see her having some sort of big arrival with a lasso, a horse, or something else that will make her stand out from the rest of Ben Higgins’ contenders. She also has a very different point of view thanks to her background, and that could be interesting.
Problem areas – We’re not sure she has much of a chance of making it past week two or three, mostly because the show seems ready to set her up for a fall. There are a few contestants like this every season who are the comic relief / entertainment for the viewers; we’re not even sure Maegan would want to give up her country life if she had to.
Prediction – Don’t see it happening. We at least hope Maegan had fun and enjoys watching the show back.
