‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 debate: Will, and should, Void Stiles return?
There have been some various teases over time regarding some major danger coming Stiles’ way on the second half of “Teen Wolf” season 5, and with that, it is very much fair to ask the following question: Are we really done with Void Stiles once and for all? This is a side of the character that tormented him in the past, and there was a time (sorry to bring up those memories) when many of us out there wondered whether or not the character was going to be able to get through some of what was plaguing him.
For this particular debate piece, let’s take a look at what the potential pros and cons could be for the show revisiting this particularly deadly story.
The pros – The biggest reason to bring Void Stiles back into fray is simple: You want to create chaos and uneasiness among viewers. This is a part of the character that makes viewers uncomfortable, though we imagine that for Dylan O’Brien it must be great to play a completely different side. Doing this would turn the show on its head, especially since there are seemingly so many other threats like Theo and the Dread Doctors to think about.
If the series is really interested in throwing everything plus the kitchen sink into the upcoming episodes, this is a way to do it. Also, it’s also a great way to get people discussing the show on social media.
The cons – Here’s the big one: You’ve already done Void Stiles. Why go back here unless there is a particularly compelling reason to do so? The show would need to justify a particularly compelling reason, and we’re not sure that there is enough time to in the amount of episodes left this season. It also may be a little too close to the original story, and maybe this is the sort of thing that is better off surfacing in season 6.
Now, we turn this over to you. When do you want to see Void Stiles return ? Vote now in the attached poll!
