‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 video: More reasons to worry

The fifth season of “Teen Wolf” will be premiering on its new night starting on Tuesday, January 6 on MTV, and the latest promo released seems to have one very simple goal: Freaking you out. Whoever made this seems to have very much forgotten that we are right in the middle of the holiday season!

For those of you looking for specific spoilers on the rest of season 5, this promo is probably going to be a little bit of a disappointment. However, for those of you who are prioritizing having an awesome video to watch first and foremost, you’ll enjoy this. It’s creepy, it’s dark, and it hints at some extremely dangerous stuff coming up in the near future. Sure, there is a tease that lives are hanging in the balance, but you don’t really need to see / hear that to know it is the case on this show. Unlike other series that will not be named here, “Teen Wolf” has never been shy to make big moves for the sake of creating suspense.

So why is the show moving to a new night and time? Our feeling is that the network wants to create more of a lineup with this and “The Shannara Chronicles,” which it wants to get off the ground. They did not want to move “Teen Wolf” up an hour on Mondays and put it against “The Bachelor” or eventually “The Voice,” so this may have been the next-best option.

With that said, we still do not love that this show is airing against “Shadowhunters” on ABC Family / Freeform.
