Miss Universe head would want Steve Harvey back for redemption in 2016

Miss Universe -Even though Steve Harvey’s tenure as Miss Universe host in 2015 ended in disaster (which him announcing Miss Colombia as the winner by mistake), this does not rule him out in the slightest from hosting the show in the future. As a matter of fact, one of the people responsible for helping to run the pageant is certainly invested in bringing the “Family Feud” host back for another go if he is interested in doing so.

Speaking in a new radio interview with Jim Rome, WME | IMG Chief Content Officer Mark Shapiro made it clear first and foremost that Harvey had a hard time dealing with the aftermath of what happened following the end of the show:

“He was very remorseful in that dressing room. That wasn’t a good scene. I mean, he just felt miserable that he let so many people down.”

Shapiro also said in relation to a potential return “I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.” We believe that he probably will be back at this point, given that this is a source of great publicity for everyone involved. People will watch the show more than ever before to see if there is a similar mistake, Harvey can prove himself, and the organization benefits from the added exposure. It’s not like Harvey is some nefarious guy who did something terrible on the night of the pageant; he just made a silly mistake.
