‘Outlander’ season 2: A new (and lovely) Jamie – Claire photo

As we’re getting further and further along in the holiday season, the folks over at Starz seem to be taking the phrase “season of giving” to heart when it comes to how they distribute “Outlander” photos. The network has released the latest one below, and this may be one of the best yet.

The photo is simple one featuring Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan), but the facial expressions tell you everything you need to know about their present relationship in France. These two clearly do still love each other, and are now preparing to have a child and a completely new life away from some of the violence in Scotland.

Of course, we know that not everything in the country will be particularly rosy. Jamie will have to deal with some issues related to his past, and the two will together have to face shifting politics and further conflict that stems from the particular period in history. Obstacles will come their way, and hopefully after contending with Black Jack Randall they realize that they are so much better taking on any threat when they do so together.

While we wish that Starz’s #OutlanderOfferings series would produce some sort of season 2 premiere date, we’re hopeful that this information will be passed down soon enough. We know at least for now that it is slated for the spring, and as it starts to get closer and closer, more and more footage will be released. Isn’t that a cause worthy of celebration?
