‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: Another look at ‘New Orleans’ crossover!

NCIS -

The “NCIS” franchise has done several crossovers over the course of its run, but the one coming in January may be the most extensive one since the show first launched the “New Orleans” spin-off with the “Crescent City” arc.

Ironically, the upcoming event set for January 5 is not titled something all that different in “Sister City,” but we imagine that the reason for this title is a little bit different. Specifically, we think it is meant to also imply how this crossover with be incredibly significant for Abby, as her role as a sister is tested following some surprising circumstances for her brother Luca. This is someone who has not been heavily mentioned on the show so far, which we imagine is largely a symptom of the writers keeping the personal details of many of its characters relatively close to the vest. The same goes for any further content of this story; the photo above is one of the few things that has been released so far.

The story will begin during “NCIS” proper, and then carry over directly to “NCIS: New Orleans” before coming to a natural conclusion. While we know some other shows like “Chicago Fire” / “Chicago PD” are forced to air their crossover episodes across two nights, but what we like about this is that it allows for an opportunity to almost feel more like a two-hour movie than something you have to commit different nights to watching.

Given that we still have a little ways to go until this episode actually airs, we feel like we’re going to have some other news related to it in the near future. Be on the lookout for more!
