‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’: When could cast be officially revealed? Also, logo analysis!
Just in case you somehow missed the end of this past “Survivor” reunion show, the upcoming 32nd season premiering on February 17 is entitled “Survivor: Kaoh Rong.” Not only that, we had a chance to see a few cast members in the first promo, including former NBA big man Scot Pollard and also Caleb “Beast Mode Cowboy” Reynolds from “Big Brother.”
So when will the entire cast for the new season be announced? Well, the jury is still out on that, but we can give you a relative date for it: Somewhere between January 11 and 15. That is a little earlier than when the “Worlds Apart” cast was released on January 21, 2015, but there is a reason for it: “Kaoh Rong” is premiering over a week earlier than the white collar / blue collar / no collar season did on February 25. Unless you want to push back the cast reveal, this seems to be when you’re going to get some more information.
Now that we’ve put this out into the universe, let’s talk about something out that we at least find interesting: The new logo! This one may be our favorite in a little while. We do think the “Worlds Apart” logo is really nice, and some other favorites of ours include “Philippines,” “Samoa,” “Tocantins,” “One World,” and “Africa.” Our preference here is bold colors that compliment each other, but also allow for the writing to be legible. Here are the only two things that annoy us:
1. The font for “Kaoh Rong” should be a little wider. It’s already hard to pronounce and spell; might as well make it easy to see.
2. If you are a conspiracy person, the color scheme here is close to “Survivor: Thailand,” which remains per our ranking our last-favorite season ever.
