‘Twin Peaks’ revival: Showtime presents first teaser video!

Showtime -For those of you out there who celebrate Christmas, we suppose that you probably are going to think of the video below as a heck of an early present from the folks at Showtime: The first preview for the “Twin Peaks” revival! The iconic sign is still there, the music is still there, and so is an iconic voice.

Also, you’ve got a mystery man flashing by at the end of the video. Who is it? We’ve heard Leland, we’ve heard Phillip Jeffries, and we’ve even heard David Lynch himself. All of these are probably valid theories, and it’s hard for anyone to get up on a pedestal and proclaim to be right when we’re really just looking at a blurry face.

The unfortunate thing for all fans of “Twin Peaks” is pretty simple: You’re going to be waiting for a long time to see the show come back on the air. At the moment, the earliest you’ll see it is in 2017. While production has been going on for some time, Showtime has been very hesitant to announce the episode count or really any other relevant detail, likely due to Lynch and Mark Frost’s own concerns for privacy while they work on the product. They’ve pleaded for secrecy, even to the extent that they have released statements asking for people to keep paparazzi and set-visit photos to a minimum.

Many of your beloved favorites will be returning for the new series, and they’ll be joined by a variety of newcomers. For the sake of being hunted down ourselves by producers, that’s all that we will say…
