‘The X Factor’ final results: Was Lousia Johnson, Reggie ‘n Bollie the winner of series 12?

X FactorThe final of “The X Factor” brought together two very distinctive performers on Sunday in Louisa Johnson and Reggie ‘n Bollie, but we could get a sense fairly early on just which way the scales were going to tip here. Louisa Johnson was better suited for the winner’s single, received the more favorable placement, and had Simon Cowell telling her that she was pretty much the greatest contestant to ever live. Translation: The series really wanted her to out on top.

To be fair, Louisa was the person most deserving to win. She had fewer weak performances, and we cannot really blame her for the show aggressively promoting her since she didn’t ask for that. She’s just trying to do the best job that she can. Also, Reggie ‘n Bollie would probably benefit more from doing their own thing with this platform versus being all tied up in the Syco machine.

By the time the end of the show arrived, it seemed to be fairly agreed-upon by most out there that Louisa was going to win. In the end … yep, she did. Congrats to Louisa! There was of course a big production around this, and she’s going to probably sell a lot of records for that winners’ single … and deservedly so. She’ll also probably have a good shot at being a successful artist.

Now, the challenge for this series is going to be figuring out a way to continue to be relevant, and ensure that they can somehow get the ratings up after being a disappointment most of this fall.
