‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6, episode 10 reaction: Did show handle Kono – Adam shocker right way?

Hawaii -The winter finale of “Hawaii Five-0” on CBS Friday night contained a little bit of holiday cheer, but also plenty of devastation mostly thanks to what happened to Kono and Adam. Sure, these two were married, but pretty much every little thing that could possibly go wrong for the two of them ever since has.

Let’s begin here by talking the circumstances of what happened: After a lengthy back-and-forth, we ended up seeing Adam’s plea deal over the self-defense killings reduced to 18 months. Rather than stand trial, he ultimately decided that this would be the best course of action for himself and his wife in the future. From here, he left the wedding ring at home and said farewell to his wife on the outside. Seeing the rest of the team rally behind her at the end of the episode did make for an extremely touching moment.

As for what this means for the future of the show, the easy answer first and foremost is that we’re probably not going to get to see a whole lot of Adam for a while. The character could feasibly turn up if Kono visits him behind bars, but we cannot see that happening more than a couple of episodes here and there. These episodes are really not long enough to make something like this into an occurrence that you end up seeing on a weekly basis.

Ultimately, let’s just hope that the rest of the team is able to be there for Kono moving forward for a little while.
