‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 8, episode 6 review: Ladies head to Miami, Kim Fields misses home
Now that Porsha and Cynthia have talked things out on the last episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Kenya and Porsha thought that it might be a good idea to do a Cynthia bachelorette party redo since the boat party went sideways very quickly. Yes you read that right, Porsha and Kenya are organizing the trip to Miami together. Check this off of the list of things we never thought we’d see on this show.
With the boat party going so badly we thought that Kim Fields was never going to join the ladies for another trip or outing ever again, but she’s decided to come on the trip to Miami and give this group another shot. Can we just say that Kim’s son is the cutest ever when he asked his mom to bring his favorite book for her to read to him over Skype at night. Our hearts melted, what a cutie.
We expected there to be some drama, but we didn’t expect it to come from Tammy and Sheree. Tammy claims that if Sheree’s ex-husband, Bob, didn’t play for the NFL that Sheree wouldn’t have been with him – quite the heavy claim considering that they have children together. Later when Sheree confronts Tammy about what she said, Tammy defends Bob saying that the media was really coming down hard on him and that she sees a different side to him. Sheree says that Bob wasn’t there for the children and asks Tammy if she was more then just best friends with Bob – she asks if they were sleeping together. Tammy says that never happened, but Sheree says that Bob said it did.
When it comes out that Tammy said that she “didn’t like Sheree”, the blame for the comment is placed on Kim (from Kenya). Kim calls out the idea that the ladies may be instigating a fight instead of sharing information, and Kenya takes it personally even though she was just addressing the table. Kenya doesn’t like to let things go and since she feels that she brought Kim into the group, that Kim shouldn’t take issue with her.
For a show with the name “Housewives” in the title, there sure are a lot of single women in this cast partying with a bunch of random men they found in Miami. We can see why the married ladies like Kim and Cynthia may not be having a fun time with all of that. This wasn’t really our favorite episode of the season, it’s starting to feel a little scattered where usually there are 2 or 3 stories that are threaded through out the season. Episode grade: B-
