‘The X Factor’ UK rankings: Where 4th Impact, Louisa Johnson, Reggie ‘n Bollie stand in top 5
This season of “The X Factor” continues to be more and more intriguing with each passing day. You’ve got some of the typical acts that make it far in the competition, but then some underdogs who are really starting to gain some traction, as well. We can see probably four out of the five remaining acts winning in the right situation, and it’s hard to really think of the last time that we could say that with the utmost confidence.
5. Che Chesterman (last week: 3) – Was Che being in the bottom an aberration due to him performing first on the show, or something more altogether? We’re startint to think that it is a little bit more of the latter. What Che is extremely good at is singing the big emotional ballads, which is what dozens of singers over the years have done. It’s possible that viewers are now looking for something different.
4. Louisa Johnson (4) – It’s weird almost to rank someone so heavily promoted and talented at #4, but we almost think that she is like Ella Henderson in that she will more than likely be a big star after the show as opposed to one during it. We think that there are other acts that are easier to forge an emotional connection to at this point.
3. Lauren Murray (2) – Lauren is tremendously talented, and more than that, we feel like she’s someone viewers can relate to and want to see succeed on the show. We do think she, like Che, does need to steer clear of ballad territory for some time, but performing two songs will likely help her to be safe for the weekend. More variety!
2. Reggie ‘n Bollie (5) – There was a point during this past episode of the show where we started to think that maybe it is time that we get follow on board the Reggie ‘n Bollie train. We know that they’re not the best singers, but they are amazing entertainers and we’re starting to get a sense that there is this huge undercurrent of support behind them. At the end of the day, music’s supposed to make you feel something. These guys make you feel joy.
1. 4th Impact (1) – Given that they have still never been in the bottom and have dominated almost every poll we’ve done, we have no reason to put them anywhere else on the list. With that being said, they are still the wild cards in a sense given that their support online may not be fully indicative of their support in Britain. All we know is that they’re fantastic singers who put their heart into this.

i go for 4th impact. because its a british competiton. the winner should be a british person, 2nd place is ok maybe for 4i. but if its performance competition 4i should be at the top. imho

REALITY CHECK: Only Filipinos and VERY FEW others vote for these girls. This is something to admire about their race. About Walsh’s unkind comments, it is honest but he clearly doesn’t want Asians. Nonetheless, everybody has a right to have ugly comments.

Weird or crazy it maybe but I am summoning members of #AlDubNation to help our girls win…let us put aside partisan here…let us bring our kababayans to their glory…besides they are full blooded unadulterated Pinays…lets forget first that they came from the other channel…let us show them love and suppoet

The problem I see with 4th Impact is that they are not British. The loyalty of the British audience would always go to those who are of the same nationality. It’s a very sad and racist remark but let’s be realistic here, it DOES happen. With that said, 4th Impact has talent and persona. Unfortunately, is that enough to really win this competition? We shall see.

Lauren will do anything for attention, it seems. If it’s not her anti-depressants or her not being able to afford clothes or her snide comments about the other contestants bathroom habits, it’s “death threats.” Yeah, sure. It couldn’t possibly be another ploy, could it? And always right before a vote. What a coincidence.

Hmmm interesting analysis cartermatt – actually pretty sophisticated conclusion… I’d kind of agree with your result but swap the places of Lauren and Louisa. Also, and wierdly, I’d love to think that 4I would come out winners – but I reckon your blog voting system is flawed. I bet it attracts a partisan 4I crowd. Nothing wrong with that. But I’d say supporters of non-4I acts are not registering on your polls. so it gives a skewed result. Supporters of $I see Louisa as the main competition so are most likely to vote her down relative to 4I so not surprising she is low. Che had a bad week so not surprising he is 5. Reggie and Bollie are seen as the least of the challenge to 4I so not surprising they are second here… Hope your outcome is right – credit for the analysis too

Thanks! I certainly am aware that the voting is in fact skewed, since many 4I fans are international. I think the interesting question is just how skewed it is. I truly have no idea who’s going to win this season and that’s exciting.

for starters if the poll logs ip address for each vote, votes from within uk could tell the rankings a bit more accurate
