‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Song choices for 4th Impact, Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray, top 5
For this weekend, “The X Factor” is doing something a little different. The remaining five acts are all performing two songs, and one of them was chosen by Twitter from a list of three. This is to create the illusion of people having power, even though we’re not entirely sure that it does because you’re still seeing limitations of the show songbook.
We’ll have a chance before Saturday to discuss the second song from all of the remaining acts, but why wait to discuss some of what Twitter has decided? Take a look below.
4th Impact, “I’ll Be There” by the Jackson 5 – Probably the best they could hope for. It’s an iconic song, and it’s a chance for the group to do a ballad after a series of upbeat performances.
Reggie ‘n Bollie, “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” by Silento – They’re going to have to get really creative here, given that we are typically annoyed by this song after just a few seconds of it.
Louisa Johnson, “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber – It’s a super-current song, and on the basis of that alone this is the right thing for Louisa to be doing right now.
Che Chesterman, “Hello” by Adele – Of course. While it may be yet another ballad for Che, at least it is the most-popular one on the planet right now.
Lauren Murray, “Firestone” by Kygo – We’re not that familiar with the song, which is mostly on us because it’s clearly popular enough to get over 130 million views on YouTube. It’s current, and it sounds like it’ll be good for Lauren.

The 2nd song 4th Impact will supposedly sing is a mash up of “Fancy” and “Rich Girl”… Just wondering what more the girls have to prove in terms of singing and dancing??? People already know how good they are … Cheryl, what are you thinking??? It’s the “same old same old” … But to sing “And I’m Telling You” will blow everybody’s mind and showcase a vocal side of Almira, Irene, Mylene and Celina that is even better than “I’ll Be There”. And it will also show that their vocals are just as good as the others. Bookies be damned, this is X Factor not The Voice, and RnB’s presence proves it. 4th Impact has that “x factor” too … But Cheryl needs to get away from her “Girls Aloud” thinking and put 4th Impact in a position where they can win – another ballad. So, go for it girls … GO 4TH IMPACT !!!

I believe that 4th Impact should convince Cheryl to sing “And I’m Telling You” for her judges choice. The song has more grit and gumption than “I’ll Be There” which although nice is a little bit tame. Two ballads which are different musically is in my opinion not a risk because the viewers and voters already know that 4th Impact are great singers and dancers. Singing “And I’m Telling You” takes them to another level and will show that individually their voices are as good as anyone else… SLAY IT GIRLS !!!
