‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ episode 12 preview: Will an injury kill someone’s chances to win?
We have to do a little bit of a nitpick of the latest “Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance” promo, mostly because of the fact that it probably gave away far more information than it really should have about what’s going to be coming up. It’s not as bad as some we’ve seen in the past, but still.
What we learned from the promo that aired after Wednesday night’s new episode first and foremost is that there is an injury, and it appears to be to a white man. That does narrow down the possibilities quite a bit, doesn’t it? We’ve got Joe, Keith, and Spencer now as top contenders, unless the show is pulling some tricky editing on us. No matter what happens here, this is a tremendous bummer to see since they’re all great characters on the show this season. Sure, Keith probably doesn’t have much of a chance to win the game, but at least he is good at confessionals and is a decent threat to beat Joe in challenges.
It is certainly possible that whoever is hurt will not be leaving the game, and for the time being, that’s what we’re going to root for. You never want to see anyone exit under any other circumstances. Remember, if James Clement can wander around in “Heroes vs. Villains” wearing a giant boot, anyone has a chance!
As terribly sad as it is that both Ciera and Stephen (great strategic players) are gone, we feel like the fun with the rest of this season is going to be seeing now what happens with a new group of underdogs in the game. Jeremy, Tasha, and Kimmi are now completely at the bottom, and while Jeremy may have an immunity idol still, Kelley Wentworth has one on the other side. She probably doesn’t want to use it on Joe all the way until the end, but she’s got to pick and choose the right spot to play it if she thinks there is value to going to at least the final seven or six with him.
The great thing for us as a viewer is that in some way or another, everyone out there left is a player; maybe not all are strategists, but they’re at least bringing something.
We’re going to have exit interviews with both Ciera and Stephen on Monday, so be on the lookout for those. For now, head over here to read our review for Wednesday night’s crazy two-hour episode, and sign up here to get some other updates on everything we cover, sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. I think it is a loved one, specifically Kelly Wentworth’s Dad, Dale. Check out this Tweet from Dale: https://twitter.com/farmguy69/status/622634576960040960
He has the blister on his hand shown in the preview clip. I know the date of the tweet is July but this Survivor was filmed during the past summer.
From wiki- Survivor: Cambodia — Second Chance, also known as Survivor: Second Chance, is the 31st season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor, which was filmed in summer 2015 in Koh Rong, Cambodia[1] and premiered on September 23, 2015.

In the sneak peak of the episode, Tasha is the one holding the orange Buda on the stick, Spencer is right next to her, and Tasha runs away like it is her fault while Wentworth strokes her back. TASHA DROPPED THE BUDDHA ON SPENCERS HEAD!

It’s either Joe or Spencer because it’s an orange totem that falls and Tasha and Kimmy have orange totems, but not necessarily because that could just either of them getting out of the challenge. The one thing that really reveals something is when the medic is there. He and Jeff are bent over whoever is in the teal colored area. If you look at the frame with all of the totems in it, you can see that there is only one teal one, and as much as I hate to say it, it’s Joe’s. I just hope he is ok to keep playing.

I’ll give it away, so if you don’t want to know, don’t read any further …. if you look at the broken blister on the victims hand, and you paid attention to the white men’s hands through the show, you would know the patient is…..Spencer.

honestly i think most of you have this in mind “pls dont be joe” that includes me. just hope its not him. and if the person who was hurt did not continue to play the game, i think whoever dropped the “totem” should maybe consider to leave the game. hehe just saying. peace! #joealltheway.

I froze it and slo moed it. Orange totem was Tasha. It was falling to left of screen and right in the path of Spencer. Joe is tough and athletic. He would probably of caught it. Spencer is a bit more of a twink and I could see this really hurting him. WTF kind of challenge was this? Did no one test this or see the possible issues w a person weak, hungry, and cold dropping it on their or another’s head?? This was Tasha’s totem landing on spencer. Anti is right. U also see Tasha visible upset.

that hand is either joe’s or keith’s. spencer has longer pale fingers soft palms. i think its keith, the hand was small, and the nail looked like an older man’s nail, the coloring.
but jeez louise this season really is surviving! the tribe starving, the wooden puzzle blocks ouch! im surprised there hasn’t been more serious injuries with all these big sharp wooden objects!

Tasha’s idol falls away from Spencer – you must look at flag wind direction. Cut one is all eight people – yellow, red/brown, green, pink, lime green, blue, purple, orange. Cut two is a diversion cut – the non-killer cut. They do not show the killer idol cut!!!! Between Cut one and two would be classified as a junk cut or reverse cut where flags blow left to right then right to left. Jeff was leaning into a green stall with medical or Joe’s.

I dont want to clown you….but the wind isnt affecting the totem. If not editing on their part to distract it was Tasha’s Orange totem. If we are getting edited and they showed us another fallen totem then it is Joe…not a old man’s hands. Keith has many rough marks and calluses on his hands. The nails are dirt and weathering from a month in the elements.

There is tricky editing at the beginning. You don’t see all the stalls only six, first two Keith and Kelley locations are unknown. Jeff and medical are looking/working in a green stall near the end. Who is in the green stall?
Cut one is all eight people – yellow(unknown), red/brown(unknown), green(Joe), pink(Kimmi), lime green(Jeremy), blue(Abi), purple(Spencer), orange(Tasha). Tasha’s totem does drop but in the sand near the end – wind direct of flags and where the totem drops indicates a safe drop. The wind in the flag shows the orientation of the scene/cut. Cut one and cut two cross the 180 degree plane making it confusing. It is less likely a 30 mph wind changes direction, indicated in the flags – and no the wind has little effect on a 2-5 pound totem drop. They don’t show the killer totem drop. “Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.” but once again there is editing and no head-totem hit shown. Who is in the green stall? Again, Who is in the green stall? That is your answer – 80 to 90% likely Joe but it could be Keith who collapsed into the green stall – 10 to 20% likely Keith.

Extra – during voting and closing credits, the producers don’t show Joe’s vote. Why for the secrecy or was it considered in bad taste for the editors?

It’s spencer. Tasha is holding the orange one that falls hitting spencer. Hopefully it won’t take him out of the game.

Spencer appears to be the victim by the first set of cuts; Tasha had the orange pole and she was walked off the beach, and cut of the idol and flags show green and orange with later 180 reverse cut based on wind direction placing the idol drop toward Tasha. However you don’t see all the poles and what is shown could be a false cut. Jeff was leaning into a dark green stall with medical and Spencer’s stall was purple which leaves either Joe or Keith. Joe’s pole appears to be green with Keith’s pole colour unknown. Kimmi appears to be sitting and already out, pole colour unknown.

It’s either joe or spencer, the hand is a young hand so Keith is eliminated. It was Tasha’s totem that fell and landed on spencer, the hand is rather small. You can see Tasha feeling really bad and Abi and wentsworth looking at Tasha and it appears wentsworths hand is on Tasha’s shoulder consoling her. Freeze frame it and you can see it was an orange totem falling and that was Tasha’s.
Spencer was next to her.

i believe it is joe, spencer is seen holding the orange thing, in the clip shown, the person lying on the floor is surrounded by a TEAL post, no teal is shown in the clip. Spencer is not in teal. If it is a man, it would have to be Joe, the hand is a young hand. Also, if I am right about the teal, the person most likely got hit in the head and passed out, the shaking and seizing of the hand suggests a rocks fall and brain damage

It’s sad that you wish harm and distress over another human being because you think that he’s “arrogant”… just sad.

Except that I don’t wish harm to anyone I just think joes stronger than Keith and can take it…plus he’s arrogant and thinks he’s awesome ?

he is just good in games. that is who he is and i really would appriciate if someone were to call me arrogant just cause im good in winning. and he is bound to loose.

November 26, 2015 @ 9:19 pm
Nope it’s not the winning I don’t care for some of his actions and some of the things he has said were not on point. I really just don’t like the way he comes across. But honestly this is just a show and we are all entitled to a preference. To each their own?

Ciara was arrogant..
J.J.
November 27, 2015 @ 7:50 am
Agreed….but she also reeked of desperation. I perceive Joe’s arrogance as a condescending, high and mighty arrogance. I.e. When he and wiggles worth thought they should band together because they were the best players. But like I said everyone has a right to their own opinions and their own favourite players. I really liked fishback but I know people say he was whiny and annoying which I can also see. That’s the beauty of human existence none of us are perfect and we are all unique and different and will have different perceptions and likes and dislikes. ;) not saying my beliefs are right, not saying they are wrong either. Just expressing how I feel! ?

At some point in this game I think nearly every player becomes arrogant. They may not remain so, but how many times do we see an individual feeling like they are sitting pretty only to find out they didn’t have a clue? At this point Keith, Jeremy, Tasha and Spencer seem to have a handle on things.
The ONLY player I cannot find any redeeming quality in is Abi. I probably would have ‘begged’ others to vote her out with me a long time ago. I have no idea of her background, but her immaturity, paranoia and cold-insensitive heart have me baffled as to why she was voted in this season.

Unfortunately it is joe. It is kimmi’s totem that falls backward to the right and it is joe that is next to her. This is going to ruin the show for me…

The teal colored “corral” has to be one of the first 2 that cant be seen in the shot. Kimmi’s idol is a darker brown. the one that falls is either the mustard colored idol in the foreground of the competition shot or Tasha’s. The idol falls back (based on the position of the tall, teal banner behind them) which means it also falls to the right, away from Joe if it is the foreground idol or towards Spencer if it is the background idol. I think it’s either Keith or Spencer. Based on the teal “corral” I think it is Keith
