‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 8, episode 3 review: Cynthia, Peter talk marriage

Cynthia BaileyOn the last episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 8 we saw Kandi and Phaedra talk out their problems and seem to leave things on a better note, but are things really better or are there still hurt feelings?

While speaking to Porsha, Phaedra reveals that her and Kandi talked out their issues, but there seems to still be feelings of betrayal there for Phaedra over Kandi and Todd still storing things for Apollo. Looks like they are both taking things one day at a time, but are hopeful that their friendship can be repaired.

Kenya has not stopped her beef with Sheree and is talking trash about her to anyone that will listen, but after a talk from Marlo, Kenya says that she will play nice and try to fix things. So when Kenya has a launch party for her hair care line, the last person we expected to see show up was Sheree, but it seemed to be a good thing that she showed up because it gave these two ladies a chance to start over.

Cynthia hasn’t heard from Peter in a week since the fall out at the eye wear launch party and it’s really weighing on her, but after talking to her ex, Leon, about the situation she realizes that she has more fight left in her and wants to figure out a way to make this marriage to Peter work. She tries calling Peter for a week and he wouldn’t return her calls, but eventually he comes home and they talk. Peter says that since they’ve gotten married that their work has come before their relationship and that it has hampered their marriage. Cynthia brings up the possibility that she may not be in love with him anymore and he asks when did she stop loving him? She says she doesn’t know when it changed and he says that he’s never stopped being in love with her. Peter is obviously hurt and Cynthia says that she wants to give the marriage one last kick at the can, but that they both have to put everything they have into each other – Peter agrees.

Watching Cynthia and Peter’s marriage fall apart has been painful since there is a lot to love about these two, so it was nice to see them have a real raw conversation about everything. There is a lot of hurt feelings on both sides, and even though Cynthia has said that she’s not in love with him anymore, we feel like there is still love there for them both and we were happy to hear them both say that they want to give this one last try.
