‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ episode 10 video: Jeff Probst makes an offer
Jeff Probst seems to operate under the Rumpelstiltskin – “Once Upon a Time” rules on “Survivor,” where magic (or in his case, help) always comes at a price.
In the new sneak peek below for Wednesday night’s double-episode, Probst is going to make the remaining players a very interesting offer. Conditions out in Cambodia right now or horrible, and they may be some of the worst that we’ve ever seen for any season ever. It’s at least rivaling the likes of Samoa and the Australian Outback when that flood happened. Anyway, this prompts Probst to present an interesting possibility to the group: If they want a construction crew to build them a better shelter to him them make it through the next fifteen days in the game, five of them need to decline participation in the next immunity challenge. Given how in flux this season is, that’s a really difficult choice.
We’re assuming that the players are able to at least look at the challenge build while they make this decision, and that could be a factor here. If we were someone like Stephen or Kimmi and felt like we had little odds of winning in the first place, it’s no big deal to drop out. Jeremy could consider it, since he does have two immunity idols and he can always play one of them. No one would assume that he has both. (Granted, we probably would still want to compete if we were him.)
Given that Joe knows he needs to win more than likely to stay alive, we can’s see him dropping. We could actually see this bring a pretty tough decision for everyone to make. Based on some other clips we’ve seen it looks like there will be no chance for everyone to confer, and they’re going to have to make their decision by showing a specific-colored rock. We were already excited for this episode, but the intrigue surrounding this decision, where someone who opts to get shelter could end up going home, has us even more so.
