‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Is King Shark going to return?

FlashThere was probably no greater fan service on “The Flash” this season than getting to see King Shark make an appearance. It may have only lasted a minute, but it was gloriously fun and a nice tribute to those who love the source material.

Of course, it’s not something that we are going to see often. The show’s bosses are on record saying that the scene featuring this character was extremely expensive due to all the CGI, and this is not something that they would be able to replicate on anywhere close to a regular basis. Therefore, we’re probably just going to have just a few seconds of him here and there now, and the Earth-1 version presumably because the Earth-2 version has been incapacitated by Harrison Wells.

It was David Ramsey (John Diggle from “Arrow”) who let the news slip, per ComicBook.com, about King Shark during the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest this weekend. Specifically, he claimed that the teams “are going to be tracking down a particular member of the Suicide Squad that so happens to be a 14-foot shark.”

This news is obviously wonderful, especially since it also gets the idea of the Suicide Squad out there once again. For some reason, the DC Entertainment honchos have tried to obliterate anything from these shows, except for seemingly The Flash himself that could be in the movies. That includes leaving Amanda Waller really out of the equation right now, killing Deadshot, and shipping off the brief appearance from Harley Quinn to parts unknown.
