‘Agent Carter’ season 2 spoilers: Hayley Atwell takes center stage in new promo

The second season of Marvel’s “Agent Carter” is coming your way on Tuesday, January 5, and we’ve got something today that should excite many of you out there: The first promo!

The video below aired as a part of ABC’s presentation of the American Music Awards on Sunday night, and it was a perfect combination of the familiar and the new. You’ve got Peggy and Jarvis for one, and plenty of butt-kicking and quick-witted dialogue to go along with it.

As for the new, of course this starts with a new setting! Peggy is now in Los Angeles, and she is going to find almost immediately that there are just as many problems that need solving there as there were on the East Coast. This should prove itself to be a fun, action-packed series of episodes, and it will continue the trajectory of the first season in a very real, exciting way. Given the fact that a season 2 was not at one point guaranteed, we’re just happy that we get a chance to sit back and enjoy the series once more.

Oh, and we should point out again that this will be a two-hour premiere event. ABC is planning to look at this show the same way as season 1, and that is by using it as a way to fill the schedule between halves of “Agents of SHIELD.” If you enjoy the show (and you really should), the one suggestion that we can offer you is to watch live. Also, encourage your friends to do the same thing! Higher ratings is one of the only ways to guarantee more success down the road.
