‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Killer Frost story (still) not coming anytime soon

Flash -

At the moment, the pacing on the Killer Frost story on “The Flash” is starting to make the setup of Black Canary on “Arrow” look like it was moving along at rapid pace. Through the past season and a half, the only evidence that we’ve had on-screen that the character is coming is a few obvious dialogue winks, Caitlin’s last name, and also that brief image of her as the character in the singularity. There is also the image above that Danielle Panabaker revealed on “The Talk,” but that is pretty much it.

Unfortunately, we cannot really say one way or another right now if we are going to see this story happen this season; for now, it doesn’t seem like it. Here is what Panabaker had to say on the subject to TVLine:

“I’m super excited for Killer Frost … [but] the writers have been pretty clear that it’s not going to happen as soon as I want it to.”

Ultimately, the thing that you do have to remember here with Caitlin is that this is a show that is still really early in its run. There is a lot of time in the future for the producers to address this. The ratings are high, and they gotta give you something good for season 3. Our feeling is that it’d be great to see a full season with Killer Frost as the Big Bad, an intimidating villain who is complicated because of her ties to Barry and the team. That’s why we’re prefer something happen to Earth-1 Caitlin to turn her into this rather than just having her come over from Earth-2. It’s more weighted this way.
