‘Arrow’ season 4, episode 8 preview: ‘Legends of Yesterday’ continues ‘The Flash’ crossover

Crossover -

Tonight, “Arrow” season 4 told a powerful story when it comes to John Diggle in “Brotherhood,” but moving into the next new episode of the show you can expect them to do something completely different: Crossing over with “The Flash,” and helping to set up the story of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

If you head over here, you can get a first look at “Legends of Today,” which is the first part of the event airing on December 1. The second part of it (technically an “Arrow” episode) is “Legends of Yesterday,” which is coming December 2. It’s an episode that you really cannot watch and fully understand without seeing the “Flash” part of it. Therefore, the synopsis below gives you a pretty incomplete picture of what to expect:

“Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) take Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renée) and Carter Hall (guest star Falk Henstchel) to a remote location to keep them hidden from Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump) while they figure out how to defeat him. Malcolm (John Barrowman) arranges a meeting between Vandal, Green Arrow and The Flash that doesn’t go as planned. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Thea (Willa Holland), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) work with Team Flash to come up with a weapon powerful enough to destroy Vandal Savage.”

We don’t think we are really giving too much away here when saying that Savage is going to make it through to the end of this episode, given that he is the Big Bad for “Legends” and will be appearing throughout. What we’re thrilled about is that Laurel and Malcolm are both going to have key roles in the story coming up.
