‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Can Elizabeth stop a scandal?
There are a wide array of different things you must juggle when you the Secretary of State, and based on what we are hearing at the moment in regards to “Madam Secretary,” there are some serious politics that Elizabeth McCord is going to need on next week’s episode to ensure that President Dalton does not face negative headlines in the press. She will need to team up with some important members of the team in order to ensure that Craig Sterling is put out of his position without causing any further problems.
This next episode is entitled “Lights Out,” and if you are curious right now in getting some other news in terms of what to expect, our suggestion is to check the out the synopsis below:
“As tensions rise with Russia, Elizabeth, Russell and Mike B. (Kevin Rahm) hatch a plan to oust Craig Sterling (Julian Acosta) from his role as National Security Advisor without tarnishing President Dalton with a scandal. Also, Ephraim Ware (Clifton Davis), the Director of National Intelligence, identifies who hacked Air Force One.”
For those wondering whether or not this is the last episode of the fall for the series, we can tell you with clarity that at least one more is coming after this. Therefore, don’t expect too much concrete resolution just yet.
Also, let’s close with a question: Why in the world is this show not hiring Rahm to be a series regular? Given his work on “Mad Men,” we feel like the more that we get to see of him, the happier we’re going to be in the end.

You may think that I’m nit picking but this has bugged me no end last season and again this season. Every time the SOS team gets together there are at least 4 unknown people in the room, 2 older guys and two women, a redhead and a brunette who are in the meeting with MS McCord. These folks they never say anything, they fist bump occasionally, but who are they? Surely they can be identified, it makes sense especially if they are regular faces. If they have a speaking role do they get paid more? Is that the reason CBS is only using them as filler? Its hard to accept the show as a real hard hitter if they dont pay attention to the little details.
