‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3 spoilers: ‘NYPD Blue’ alum set to be Abbie, Jenny Mills’ dad

So far through season 3 of “Sleepy Hollow,” what we have seen is that Abbie Mills has been looking for her father, but she just has not had an opportunity to run into him face-to-face. That is going to change on an upcoming story.

Fox has officially announced that the character of Ezra Mills, quite possibly the only TV character named Ezra right now outside of “Pretty Little Liars,” will be played by none other than James McDaniel of “NYPD Blue” fame. This is going to mark a chance to learn a little bit more about him, why he has been absent, and also what sort of impact he could have on Abbie and Jenny’s life, if any.

When you see the Ezra character on the show, he will apparently have an interest once more in his daughters’ lives, which should raise some questions about what he really wants. Is this going to be a supernatural story for the sisters, or just a human story? We actually prefer at times when the show does the latter, given that it is a chance to mix things up and not just give you the same sort of madness every single week.

You will see McDaniel in this role at some point in the second half of this season. The fall finale is coming up, and then after that the show is moving to Fridays. We want to believe the best for this show, but this is almost certainly not a good sign.
