The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 4: Is there more Claudia?

As we move into The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 4, it makes a lot of sense that Delainey Hayles is going to have a larger role. After all, we saw her make her debut as Regina at the end of episode 3! This is a waitress who bears a streaking resemblance to someone who mattered greatly to Louis in Claudia. By virtue of that, it makes sense to spend a little bit of time with her moving forward, no?

Well, here is the twist — while we are going to see a lot of Hayles as Regina moving forward, that does not mean that Claudia is gone. The character may be dead, but there could still be unique ways to implement her further.

Want another clue on that very thing? In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, here is what executive producer Rolin Jones had to say:

“The best Claudia scene we ever wrote is in episode 6. It’s not even close.”

What in the world could this be? We do think it is possible that we see her conjured up in some sort of dream sequence — however, it would hardly be a shock to see a flashback, given that there is inevitably a ton of moments between these characters that could be worth looking at. When you consider that episode 6 is going to set the stage for the end of the season, that only amplifies the stakes. (Also, there is no word as to whether we are getting a season 4 as of yet, but we remain hopeful. It still feels like there are plenty of tales to tell from the world of Anne Rice, and we also have a lot of faith in what Jones brings to the table.)
