‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 8 reaction: Will Scottie Thompson return again as Jeanne?
Tuesday night’s episode of “NCIS” was certainly a rollercoaster of emotions, and this is especially true most likely for those who have watched the show ever since we first saw Jeanne Benoit so many years ago. During Tuesday night’s new episode Scottie Thompson’s character and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) worked together again for the first time since his attempt at seducing her during a mission, and it is fair to say that this was a little frosty at first.
However, after Tony and the team were successful in rescuing a variety of people, including a certain someone close to her in David, the mood changed. Not only that, but she gave him a kiss on the cheek that could be read in so many different ways. If you want to see what Thompson herself had to say the characters’ journey in this hour, take a look at her comments via TVLine:
“After everything they’ve gone through [in the episode], a lot of those initial emotions [they shared upon reuniting] have sort of gone away. By then it’s like, ‘I love you as a person, in the end.’ And that’s nice, because that sort of moment can go a million ways.”
As for whether or not we will see Thompson return again this season, the actress admitted to the aforementioned publication that even she does not know for now what her future is. We would like to see her at least one or two more times this season, if for no other reason than nostalgia alone. Anytime we can dive into the show’s early years is something worth doing, provided that it makes sense.

What an awful episode!
This whiny character should have been killed 10 years ago!
I only watched because this episode wasn’t about Bishop and only realized while watching that this Jeanne is a character from years ago!
This was the first episode I tried watching this season but the team banter is gone, there is NO chemistry like the show had with Kate or Ziva!
Can’t CBS afford to hire good actresses for such a show?

I really loved the episode Saviors but I’m a die hard Tony fan and it was nice to not feature in the role of butt monkey for a change. Mr. Weatherly does drama beautifully. Why the current powers that be seem to think that all the drama must be given to Mr. Harmon is a mystery to me, but I’ve never understood politics. I would love to see Jeanne come back and see a romance re-emerge for Tony but this apparently won’t happen. After all – don’t the dramas and traumas of Gibbs have to be front and center at all times as usual? Nothing must upstage the Gibbs Show.
