‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 9 preview: Jamie Bamber returns in ‘Day in Court’

NCIS -

Tuesday night’s new episode of “NCIS” was a big one for the Tony DiNozzo character, and basically a huge chunk of his past was blown right back up with the Jeanne Benoit character. Also, we saw a tough time once again for Agent Gibbs in the wake of his recovery following what happened at the end of season 12.

So where are we going moving into the next new episode of the show? “Day in Court” is the title for this installment, and based on the synopsis below, it appears as though this will be at least in part Bishop-focused as her relationship with Jake (Jamie Bamber) is fruther scrutinized than ever before. The synopsis below does a good job of laying out everything that you can expect to see:

“In order to clear his name, a petty officer volunteers to be court martialed if NCIS agrees to conduct its own investigation after his murder case is dismissed due to a mishandled warrant. Also, Bishop and Jake discuss their marital problems.”

What we know at the moment is that whatever happens in this episode is enough to make Bishop want to leave town for a little while, given that she will be heading to Oklahoma for the upcoming Thanksgiving episode featuring the first appearance of television icon Lindsay Wagner as her mother. There’s no word as of yet as to if Jake will accompany her, which does not say great things for the state of their relationship. Ultimately, we’re just going to have to see how this story unwinds.
