‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7, episode 8 preview: Why is Deeks being arrested?

NCISDid “NCIS: Los Angeles” spoil the end of next week’s new episode in their promo? We hope not, since we’ve been told in various released that the last scene of the show Monday is going to be one that is particularly shocking. Given that Deeks getting arrested is particularly shocking, the show may have a hard time topping that.

While the notion of him being taken in on a potential murder charge is incredibly distressing, the thing that you do have to remember here is that this is a very common crime TV trope: A beloved character gets arrested of a crime they did not commit, and then the rest of the team has to figure out how to clear their name. This is even something that “NCIS: Los Angeles” has done in the past with different characters. We don’t know with full certainty that this is what is going on here, but at the moment we have to consider it at least the most likely scenario for what we’re seeing.

This installment is entitled “Defectors,” and you can see some other news in terms of what to expect below:

“The team searches for a missing teenage girl who is feared to have been recruited by a terrorist organization.”

One thing that we would like to see potentially here is the story of Deeks getting arrested being turned into some sort of two-part event, mostly because of the fact that this is not something that “NCIS: Los Angeles” has a tendency to do on a regular basis. Typically, it is only reserved for premieres and finales.

Hopefully, we’ll have some other news when it comes to the show very soon, so be on the lookout!
