‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: See Donald Trump’s Sia impression

Just in case you were wondering whether or not Donald Trump was going to be willing to brutally skewer himself on this upcoming edition of “Saturday Night Live,” we may have an answer courtesy of the new sneak peek below: He seems to be game.

Basically, Trump’s shtick this time around revolves him bursting into conversations between Kate McKinnon and Sia, while at one point sporting a wig that is at least partially similar to the one that the singer is wearing. We admit that we laughed at the second one a little bit more than we thought that we would.

This episode is easily rivaling the one hosted by Tracy Morgan earlier this season when it comes to buzz, and it is easily the most controversial one we’ve seen in some time. Despite the protests, the show will go on, and we’re curious mostly to see how the writers can keep things fairly balanced politically while still being funny. With Trump on board, we imagine that they may be a little more hard-hitting towards Democrats than they sometimes are. We like a world where everyone is mocked on the show equally.

We’ll of course be back on Saturday to review the entire episode live, but that is not the only thing we’re going to be offering up. We’ll also have some other news on the show’s ratings on Sunday, and then come Tuesday we’ll be getting together with our podcast collaborator Jason Prager to talk a little bit about everything we liked and did not like from the hour.
