ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: More on questions, discussions leading into fall finale

If there is a fall finale generating as much early buzz as the one coming up right now for “Castle,” we would certainly like to hear about it! “Mr. & Mrs. Castle” is getting set up to be an extremely important episode for the Castle – Beckett relationship when it airs on ABC November 23; while we cannot confirm one way or another if this will be the story that ends the separation, we really want to hope that it is. You have to give fans something to look forward to in the second half of the season, especially after how polarizing this twist has been in the first place.

As of right now, one thing that we can say is going to be addressed further is that Rick is going to get more information regarding what exactly Beckett is up to, which is something that he has not been that clued in to at this point. Speaking to TVLine, co-showrunner Alexi Hawley hints at Beckett’s key mission being a plot point.

“His questions about what’s really going on are what’s ultimately driving us to the end of the fall finale.”

For those of you who are looking for even the slightest bit of hope that things are improving right now, both Hawley mentions that “even though [Beckett] was talking about moving out and she got her stuff, what happened with ‘The Nose’ and everything definitely relieved him a bit.” That’s something, right? It’s clearly not much, but it is another shred of evidence that the show is slowly pushing these people closer together. If they truly love each other, it will be hard to stay apart before they are magnetically drawn to one another again.
