‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 6 preview: Is Dr. Tara Lewis set to leave?

Anyone who has followed the story when it comes to “Criminal Minds” over the past several weeks likely has anticipated some of the story when it comes to Dr. Tara Lewis. We knew that eventually Aisha Tyler would go on to do the million or so other things that she does, while at the same time AJ Cook would eventually return to pick JJ’s story.

The sneak peek below is one of the first opportunities that we’ve had so far to see exactly how the series is planning to write Tara out of the show. Specifically, we’re going to see her get an offer to run a prestigious new team, but it is something that she still is going to have to think about. She is not sure first and foremost that the big is right for her, mostly because she specifically came to the BAU to work on the sort of cases that she has been working on.

However, is she really going to be able to turn this down? It feels clear to us that she will ultimately, since that does give the show a logical way of wrapping up her story. Still, the good news is that there is always room for her to return at some point in the future if the right situation calls for it.

This preview also hints at what is going to be the larger case for “Pariahville”: A murder that takes place in a community of registered sex offenders. This is going to be an almost impossible case to solve, given that in this environment almost everyone is a suspect.
