‘Elementary’ season 4, episode 1 video: The partnership continues for Holmes, Watson

The season premiere of “Elementary” is coming to CBS on Thursday night, and while Sherlock Holmes may be in a somewhat-fragile state without his partnership with the NYPD, he does at least have one thing that he can still grasp onto as a beacon of hope: His relationship with Watson.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Lucy Liu’s character offer up some reassurances to Holmes after he makes it clear that the hunt for a new job is not going to go particularly easy for him. There are not many people out there in the running for someone like him, and he seems to be fairly accepting of the possibility that she could abandon him to go work on some other cases.

However, she makes it clear that doing this is not something that is a part of the plan in the slightest. She makes it fairly clear to him in this video that she signed up for the partnership to work alongside him, and not just to run back to the NYPD. Therefore, she’s going to be there every step of the way. Aww, hooray for bonding moments!

As sweet as this particular moment may be, we’re still very much aware of the fact that Sherlock’s future is going to be a tricky one, especially with his father Morland coming to town. Will things eventually settle back in to normal? We believe so, but it could be a few episodes thanks to all of the stories that need to unravel.
